Jewish education

Some more disputable issues along with the Madonna story...

"Rabbi Yitzhak Kadouri, a leading kabbalist, observed that it was forbidden to teach a non-Jew kabbalism"

Forbidden by who? God has given us a reasoning brain, therefore if we wish to learn, we are free to do so, and it is certainly encouraged in Islam, to teach the interested in our religion.

We have a saying in Islam "Let there be no compulsion in religion, truth will show itself through all". Now, if you are not allowed to teach a non-Jew about Kabbalism, how does someone learn? Do they have to blindy convert to the faith, then learn? Now if that is not compulsion then I don't know what is.

Motorized transport on jewish holy days

Quote from that Madonna visit to Israel for her kabbalist thingy.

"....the eve of the Jewish New Year of Rosh Hashana, contradicted religious law forbidding motorized transport on holy days"

The only reason I can see this as being that up to now, most motorized transport produces some form of pollution which is damaging to the environment. If this is the case, then what happens on all other days? Do they not realise that every day is holy, as it is a gift from God?

We agree the motorized transport in todays world is beneficial necessary. It can be of most benefit to people who are serious danger in the form of ambulances, helicopters even planes.

The best practice at the moment would be to at all times avoid unnecesary travel when you could walk, or if it is too far then take public transport to reduce the collective pollution. All the while, everybody works together to produce a non polluting mechanical method of transport. Otherwise, necessary travel is acceptable if it is the lesser of 2 evil.

Moving with the times, and using simple common sense reasoning is what Islam promotes, and we believe that protecting the environment is an act of worship also.

If the Jewish people do not use motor vehicles on holy days using this reasoning then they should also extend to every other day.

Abortion

Abortion is a very hot topic it seems at the moment. I wonder if people really do think about it deeply when they hold slogans "Murderers" or "Its your choice not mine"...

If the catholics think that it is murder taking birth control, or aborting, or even hysterectomy is unlawful in the eyes of God then they are wrong. When one is presented with 2 evils, then the lesser of the 2 is considered better. Thus, Islam allows abortion (without the slogan of murder) only if the pregnancy will result in severe medical problems for the mother that could result in death, or before 120 days (when Islam says the soul is breathed into it) if the foetus is so badly deformed, or if the pregnancy resulted from rape.

You must accept the consequences of your actions, therefore choice does not come into it. It is murder if you decide that you want to terminate your pregancy because it won't fit your lifestyle. Its your lifestyle that is wrong that lead you to this. Think of it; if pregnancy is the result of casual sexual affair which can be the only definition of pre marital sex, then your lifestyle is immoral, and the responsible option is to get married to the father and lead a more moral lifestlye for the benefit of your child.

Birth control is acceptable as long as it is not a danger to the mother. It cannot be considered murder, because you are preventing a life from even beginning.

Catholic Priests and their abstinence

Catholic priests who do not marry and abstain do not make much sense to me. I mean, you are denying yourself a gift from God, the gift of procreation that will bring another soul into this life where it could worship God. Choosing not to marry and oppressing your own natural instincts created by God is rejecting God and that is a huge sin.

Who are they emulating, who said they should not get married and have sexual relations? They are only right in saying you should abstain until after marrige.

In Islam, marriage is considered half our religion. Our Prophet was married through his life. He had children also. God ordained for us to have a partner so that we may feel the love and give love. Our Imam's (leader like a priest) are allowed to do anything that any other Muslim is allowed.

Brief background on Islam.

You can basically form religion into 3 sub classes. Monotheism (1 deity), and polythiesm (multi deities), and atheism (no deity)

Islam is strictly Monotheist, along with Judaism. Christianity/Catholicism in a way is monotheistic, if you discount that they consider 3 as 1.. which is paradox anyway....

Hinduism is polytheistic.

--------

Muslims have 5 pillars.
1. Is to declare that there is only 1 God and that Muhammad is the last messenger of God
2. 5 Daily prayers with out bodies facing the spiritual home of Islam, Mecca, in Saudi Arabia.
3. Fasting - during the months of Ramadan, and other traditional times, where we fast only during the time of daylight hours.
4. Charity tax. It is set as a minimum of 2.5% of your annual profit, after all of your basic needs are taken care of.
5. a once in a lifetime pilgrammage to Mecca, where we emulate the Prophet in returning to the birthplace of Islam, where the first house of worship stands, the Kabah.

The 2 main groups of Islam, the Sunni and the Shi'a are very much the same in respect to the beliefs. The differences are really only political leadership or Islam after the death of the Prophet. The Shi'a believe that Ali, should have become the leader of the Muslim's, instead of the way it happened where Abu Bakr, the great companion of the Prophet, and one of the first reverted Muslims became the leader, or Caliph, which is what the Sunni's follow.

Please note, I am not affiliated in anyway to any extreme groups, and do not consider myself a terrorist, or hyprocrite. I am advocating my religion as #1; if anyone Muslim disagrees with what I write, ie.. they find falsities in my posts, please comment, so that I can change the post and learn. However, if any non-Muslim disagrees in regards to actual facts of Islam then i will endeavour to explain to you further why this fact is a fact.

That should be enough for now.

Salam! (Peace)
